Bayern Munich have agreed a £28million transfer fee for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, despite there being heavy interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.

The 28-year-old’s agent Fernando Felicevich met with the German giants to discuss personal terms on a four-year contract at the Allianz Arena.

Vidal has been heavily linked with moves to Arsenal and Manchester Unite this summer, while Spanish giants Real Madrid have also shown interest in the Chilean.

The Chile international is still contracted to the Serie A champions until the summer of 2017, with his club not wanting to sell the midfield star.

Bayern manager Pep Guardiola thinks that Vidal will be the ‘perfect replacement’ for veteran midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, following his move to Manchester United on Monday.

Vidal has had previous experience in the Bundesliga, with the midfielder spending four seasons with rivals Bayer Leverkusen between 2007 and 2011.

After impressing managers all over the world while at Leverkusen, he earned a £10.5million move to last season’s Champions League runners-up.

Bayern failed in their attempts to sign Vidal in 2011 but the box-to-box midfielder snubbed the club for a preferred move to Italy instead.
