According to reports Manchester United are in good position to sign Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahill
With Antonio Conte said to have doubts about the 30-year-old’s place in his team, Cahill could be well open to a move elsewhere, with United the 4/1 favourites for his signature.
The veteran centre-back endured a horrible afternoon when Chelsea lost 3-0 to the Gunners, but that has not deterred interest from other clubs
While Jose Mourinho has the benefit of two-and-a-half years coaching the classy centre-back, the Red Devils are only slight favourites to snap him up, with Everton hot on their heels at 9/2.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester City are all said to be keen. and Ranieri id interested in adding a centre-back sooner rather than later, but there’s a solid chance Cahill will remain in London.
Meanwhile, it’s 12/1 that Cahill will head north of Old Trafford to rejoin former club Bolton Wanderers.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Mourinho could be set to splash the cash once again to reunite with the England star, but may face a bidding war with the Premier League big boys.”
