The Brazilian has overlooked transfer speculation to commit his future at Anfield for the foreseeable future

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has committed his future to the Reds after admitting that “Liverpool is my home”, following a fine start to the season.

The Brazil international arrived at Anfield in an ÂŁ8.5 million deal from Inter Milan in 2013 and will celebrate four years at the club in January, having proven to be one of the Reds’ best bargain signings in recent years.

Coutinho already leads the way in Liverpool’s scoring charts this season, with four goals, and is well on his way to eclipsing the 12 goals he netted last campaign, as he, for the second season running, swept the board of the club’s annual awards at the end of last season.

The Brazilian’s form has been so good that Barcelona have reportedly been interested in the 24-year-old, who found his move to Europe in 2008 tough, at first. But Coutinho, who is contracted to the club until 2020, admits he is loving life in Liverpool.

“Liverpool feels like my home,” said Coutinho. “I feel happy, settled and comfortable here with the city and the people.

“It’s an amazing city. I enjoy going to the cinema with my wife and to restaurants in town.

“The supporters are very nice. Hearing people singing my name, it inspires me. The fans here make me feel amazing.

“They give all the players confidence. They are there for us in every game.”

Last season’s goal tally was Coutinho’s best for Liverpool and the free-scoring Reds are showing no signs of slowing in front of goal, while Coutinho is hoping he can continue his early goal-scoring form, having netted 32 goals in 152 appearances for the Reds.
