Chelsea are preparing a fresh bid for Ross Barkley who snubbed the English club on deadline day.
In a bid to bolster their squad during mid-season, Chelsea seem to be on the verge of restarting talks with Barkley, who had preferred a move to Tottenham Hotspur on deadline day in August.
The 24-year-old England midfielder was battling through injuries then, which forced Spurs to not make a move on him at that time.
However, with the Everton star just two weeks away from gaining full fitness, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino seems to have interest in Barkley, having said this recently:
‘We are focused on trying to bring more English players through the academy. If we don’t have this profile we will try to take advantage of the English market and add more English players here.’
According to Daily Mail, Barkley’s inclusion will help Chelsea ease the burden on Cesc Fabregas.
