Batshuayi “is set to be axed” and that the Blues will look to sign a replacement, reports claim.
Michy has been struggling to hold down a regular place in the Chelsea side since arriving from Marseille last year and there has long been speculation about his future.
The 24-year-old had been sidelined since the end of October due to a foot injury but made his return as a late substitute earlier this week in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
According to reports, Conte has now apparently informed Batshuayi that he will be joining another club on a temporary deal for the remainder of the campaign.
The report also claims that the Chelsea manager will target a replacement signing so he is not left short of options in attack.
It’s said Conte feels Batshuayi, who was signed for £33 million from Marseille last year, has failed to make an impact so far.
