The midfielder admits he is more than content with life at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp

Adam Lallana has rejected interest from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain and insists he is happy with life at Liverpool.

The 28-year-old former Southampton star has been impressive under the management of Klopp, with the midfielder’s absence due to injury causing some trouble for the Reds in the past couple of games.

And Lallana’s performances this season have attracted the attention of one of Europe’s biggest clubs, with PSG understood to be interested in adding further talent to their midfield pool by offering the Liverpool star £200,000-a-week to move to Paris.

It would see Liverpool bag £40 million. However, neither he or Klopp want him to leave Anfield any time soon, as the club look to return to the Champions League this season.

“I love it here at the minute, especially since the manager has come in.” Lallana confessed.

“We have each other’s trust and you don’t always get that at clubs. The thought of leaving Liverpool has never entered my mind.

“It’s a great compliment to be spoken of in the same breath as a club like PSG with those sorts of numbers.

“But I’m absolutely loving my football at the minute under this boss and I can only see myself being here for the long term.”

Klopp will be hoping the influential midfielder can return sooner rather later, with the Reds having lost ground on league leaders Chelsea, having suffered late heartbreak in a 4-3 loss to Bournemouth on Sunday.
