Liverpool are ready to battle Manchester United and West Ham United to the permanent signing of Alex Song.
The Cameroon international is enjoying a fruitful loan-spell at Upton Park after being told he has no future at FC Barcelona, and with his performances catching the eye, a Summer move is likely to take place with Barca keen to sell.
After leaving Arsenal, Song failed to impress in Spain and when Luis Enrique took over at the Nou Camp, the midfielder was told he can leave.
With no club keen on a permanent deal, West Ham offered them a season-long loan opportunity and both parties agreed to the deal.
Now, with his loan spell nearing it’s conclusion, Song has a big decision to make regarding his future, and it looks like he will have a choice of clubs.
Liverpool and United are both keen on signing the 27-year-old, and according to reports, Brendan Rodgers’ side will make the first move by launching an £11.5million bid.
It’s believed the Premier League trio will all launch formal bids in the Summer.
