Manchester United star set to leave club

Manchester United’s back-up keeper Sergio Romero could quit the club in January. He has played just four games this season for the club.

As an understudy to David De Gea, Romero has been warming the benches, and seems to know fully well that his opportunities at Old Trafford are very limited.

In a bid to remain the No.1 keeping choice for Argentina in the lead-up to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Romero needs more game time, and according to The Mail, is considering the prospect of leaving the club in January.

With David De Gea linked to Real Madrid for two years, Romero was earmarked to become the primary choice at Old Trafford, but the Spanish number one’s deal did not materialise. And now, with the 27-year-old looking to stay put, Romero will have to explore other options which could even be a move to a smaller club.
