Left-back will fly to England in the next few days

Augsburg defender Rahman Baba is set to fly over to England in the next few days in order to finalise his move to Chelsea.

The two clubs have reportedly agreed on a ÂŁ17million fee for the left-back, and Baba will now fly over to London in order to complete his medical and agree personal terms with the Premier League champions.

Baba was left out of Augsburg‘s side for their pre-season friendly against Toulouse on Saturday, sparking speculation that he has agreed to leave the club and join Chelsea.

Left-Back Needed

The Blues are in the market for a new left-back after Filipe Luis agreed to rejoin former-club Atletico Madrid.

Jose Mourinho has already confirmed that he’s in the market for two new defenders, one believed to be Baba and the other expected to be a centre-back.

After being left out of the pre-season friendly, speculation grew that the 21-year-old is set to fly over to England, and his agent has also confirmed that a move to Chelsea would be a dream come true.

Baba made 31 appearances for the Bundesliga side last season and would become Chelsea’s third summer signing, following Radamel Falcao and Asmir Begovic.
