Roy Keane believes Manchester United will always ‘struggle’ with Ashley Young being part of their defence and insists Jose Mourinho has to sort out their problems at the back.
He’s convinced that Manchester United won’t achieve what they want to achieve with Young in a full-back role.
“They haven’t sorted out the defensive problems they have had over the last few years and that will continue,” he told ITV.
“The two centre-halves need to do better. I’ve always thought with Ashley Young in your back four, you are going to struggle.”
The Red Devils have lost two of their last three Premier League games but Keane expects them to come through against Sevilla over two legs.
“I don’t care about the last few league games,” he added. Sevilla will give them a game but United should win.
“They will turn up for these couple of big games and I think they’ll go through.”
