Theo Walcott in contract talks with Arsenal
Arsenal forward Theo Walcott is set to enter contract talks with the club.
Reports emerged earlier this season that the two parties had once again had a falling out over contract talks, but the speedster took to Twitter to dismiss the claims and revealed that talks hadn’t even started.
However, it’s now believed that Arsenal are in talks with Walcott’s representatives and are hopeful that a deal can be struck quickly to end all speculation surrounding his future.
Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring the contract talks according to reports, but Arsene Wenger is desperate to see the winger stay at the Emirates Stadium.
Walcott currently earns around £100k-a-week but is believed to have asked for more which Arsenal are reluctant to agree to.
The 26-year-old’s current deal expires next Summer.
