UFC 249 Fight Card Released: Main Event, Preliminary Card And Early Prelims
As mentioned before, many of the fights have stuck to the remade schedule. It’s main event is obviously the interim lightweight title bout between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. Khabib Nurmagomedov was originally set to fight the former but travel restrictions disrupted the Russian’s plans. Dana White found arguably the next best name to take on El Cucuy. Gaethje is an experienced fighter who started out as a wrestler and maintains a 21 and 2 record in the UFC.
Both of them are human bulls who leave nothing behind on the white canvas. Gaethje has been in some of the most entertaining fights of the century with a snap kick in his arsenal like no other. Ferguson will be entering this round full of confidence and has already warned his compatriot to come prepared. He is in a 12-fight win streak and has the chance to join Khabib and McGregor as the only two-time interim champions.
UFC 249 Fight Card: Second Title Fight – Cejudo vs Cruz
Another UFC 249 fight card which will be a title fight is the one between Henry Cejudo and Dominick Cruz. Olympic gold medalist and two-division champ, Cejudo is going up against arguably the best UFC bantamweight fighter of all time – Cruz. The latter lost his last fight three and a half years ago and will be returning to clear his name. It’s very hard to predict who will win this contest.
