Barcelona have recently roped in Antoine Griezmann as a major signing from Atletico Madrid. However, the transfer business for the Catalans appears to be far from over as they continue to be linked incessantly with a move for Neymar.
The Selecao no.10 left Barcelona for Paris Saint Germain for a world record fee in 2017. However, after growing frustrated in Paris, the 27-year-old is longing for a return to the Nou Camp.
But bringing him back would be an uphill task, according to former Barcelona player and legend Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi, who won a treble with Neymar in 2015, reckons it will be financially difficult for Barca to cope up with Neymar’s move.
“He would be an incredible signing,” the Spain international told Marca.
”But I see it as being difficult, honestly. I think it’s very difficult.
“We have seen so many things that I thought I’d never see though, such as PSG paying 222 million euros, so we’ll have to wait.
“There’s no doubt that he’s one of the best players in the world, but let’s see what Barcelona do.”
