With the transfer window set to open officially next week, it’s time for clubs to get their wallets out and start splashing the cash in order to build their squad for next season.
Some clubs are already active, take Liverpool for example, but most clubs will be waiting until the window officially opens as when one player moves, it can lead to a knock-on effect elsewhere.
The transfer merry-go-round is expected to begin so we thought we would look into five possible transfers that could become the most expensive this summer.
Yesterday we looked at Top-5 Deals That Could Happen in the Summer Transfer Window, but now we are going to look at potential deals that will cost clubs a lot of money.
Lets get this list started.
Morgan Schneiderlin is heavily expected to leave Southampton this summer, especially after he failed to get a move this time last year due to the club blocking his exit.
The Frenchman has spoken to media in his home country and admitted that he expects a deal to be finalised in the next few days.
However, it’s not yet clear which club he is set to join.
A lot of talk has him linked with Arsenal, but in recent weeks, Manchester United have declared their interest in the holding-midfielder, meaning their could be a bidding war.
Tottenham Hotspur have already been ruled out of the race due to Saints asking for around £25million.
Bookies have Arsenal as favourites, but as of yet, it’s not officially confirmed, but we are going to back to bookies and say Schneiderlin to Arsenal for £25m.
