Chelsea showed character!

John-Terry-of-Chelsea-gives-his-team-instructions

For the first time this season, their was the grit and determination of old on display tonight as the blues responded to a later Kiev equaliser in stunning fashion.

Chelsea skipper John Terry assured fans beforehand that the unity remained, branding claims to the contrary as “ridiculous” and both he and his team-mates were as good as their word.

They were organised, industrious, attacked on either side through Willian and Oscar and – when Kiev staged their second-half rally – held firm.

Zouma’s recovery tackle on forward Artem Cravats as he bore down on goal four minutes after the break was world class and Matic in midfield was more like the Matic we know and love.

While the performance was far from vintage, Chelsea can be happy with their nights work and Blue fans will not only be relieved, but full of hope for the fixtures ahead.
