Hector Bellerin and Laurent Koscielny both set to miss North London Derby

Arsenal could be without two key defenders for the North London Derby on Sunday with fears over Hector Bellerin and Laurent Koscielny.

In fact, Bellerin has already been ruled out by Arsene Wenger, while Koscielny has a ‘small chance’ of featuring.

Bellerin was withdrawn from the Champions League squad to take on Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena after picking up a groin injury in training, while Koscielny was dropped to the bench hours before kick-off because of a hip problem.

Although Koscielny was only rested because of a precaution, fears are that he might not be fit in time for Sunday’s match against Tottenham Hotspur.

If both miss out, it’s expected Mathieu Debuchy will continue at right-back, with Gabriel Paulista partnering Per Mertesacker in the heart of the defence.

Wenger Confirms Blows

After the heavy defeat in Germany, Wenger said: “We now focus on the championship on Sunday and turn up with a different performance, we are in a strong position in the league because if we play like we did today we are going nowhere.

“Bellerin I don’t think will be available for Sunday and Koscielny has a small chance.

“From tonight we have no more injuries, apart from in their heads we have no more injuries.”
