Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has underlined his target to play in the Champions League at some point of his career.
The 26 year old has come through various ups and downs since arriving at the Premier League and has established himself as one of the most influential midfielders.
The French international is attracting attention from all over the world and was linked with a move back to his home country with Paris Saint Germain. With the Hornets fighting for a Europa League spot, Doucoure’s form could turn the fortunes to their favour.
However, if they fail to qualify for Europe things could change in the next season as Doucoure is hoping to mark his presence in the Champions League.
“Everyone knows my ambition.
“I am playing football to win titles, to play with quality players.
“At Watford I am very happy, but the most important thing for me is to be focused on my performance.
“In the summer if something happens with the club, we will see what happens.
“Playing in the Champions League is one of my dreams and a lot of the squad want to do it as well. I think I can do it in the next few years.”
