AC Milan have released a formal statement saying Mario Balotelli has left the club, amid reports he is joining Premier League side, Liverpool.
The Serie A side have posted an update on their official website revealing that the striker said goodbye to the players and the coaching staff, before setting off for the airport ahead of his move back to England.
It’s reported that The Reds have had a £16million offer accepted by Milan, and the Italian will now fly to Liverpool in order to hold talks with the club’s officials.
AC Milan’s statement read: “Mario Balotelli drove out of Milanello at 13.30 after saying good-bye to his team-mates and the club’s press staff.”
