‘He doesn’t get the plaudits he deserves’
Adam Lallana has said that he feels that Georginio Wijnaldum does not get the plaudits he deserves.
Liverpool signed the central midfielder for £25million in July and despite a brief injury, the Dutchman has played in most games this season so far, proving 3 assists.
Lallana told Sport Magazine: “He’s just so happy all the time – in the dressing room and on the pitch. He’s great to play with, too; a proper team player.
“I feel he goes under the radar at times, but I think he’s had a tremendous start.
“Some of the work he does goes unnoticed. But when you’re in the same team as him, you realise what a good player he is.
“He has a goal in the locker as well, you can see that from his time at Newcastle [he scored 11 times last season]. It’s a matter of time before he pops up with a winner for us, I can see that.”
