Adnan Januzaj targeted by David Moyes at Sunderland

Ex-United boss wants winger on loan

David Moyes is set to make a loan-move for Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj this summer.

The winger was loaned out last season on an unsuccessful spell at Borussia Dortmund, where he made just 6 appearances before returning to Old Trafford.

This time United would prefer to send him away to a Premier League team as it makes for good experience.

It was at the Stadium of Light in 2013 that Januzaj scored twice in a 2-1 win on his full debut for United, whose manager at the time was Moyes.

The former United boss wants to build a side capable of achieving more than their annual scrap against relegation.

Moyes said: ‘We have a big club here we need to take forward.

‘We need to make sure it isn’t us celebrating staying up.

‘That can’t be the goal. It’s not my goal, that’s for sure.’
