Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has stated he wants to leave the club when his contract expires in 2019.
Aguero, who arrived in 2011 from Athletico Madrid for a fee of £38million, has been the star man of the Manchester club , scoring a staggering 94 goals in 141 games.
However, with his contract due to expire in 2019, his long term future has been thrown into some doubt. There is much speculation that after the 2018 World Cup, with the Striker hinting that he wants a move back to his homeland
“In the last few months a lot of things have been said about a new contract, but I didn’t pay any attention,” he told radio station Independient En La Uno.
“It’s clear to me that when my contract ends, after the World Cup [Russia 2018], I’m going to Independiente.
“Here at the club they are great with me, they always told me that they were open if the chance of a transfer arises.
“But where am I going to go in Europe? No, when I go, when my contract ends, I’m going to Argentina to play for El Rojo. From Manchester, straight to Avellaneda.”
The move would be a cyclical one for the Argentine, who began his career at Independiente. There, he scored 23 goals in 56 appearances.
