Full-back pulls out of training after injury scare
Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno was forced out of training yesterday after suffering a hamstring injury.
The Spaniard was practising crosses during the training session, but he appeared to pull up and rub his hamstring before leaving the field and talking to one of the club’s physios.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Moreno was asked by Jurgen Klopp to practise whipping balls into the box, but after doing so, he pulled up and was later seen talking in depth with club physio Chris Morgan.
Fitness Tests
It’s not yet clear whether he’ll miss the tie with Manchester United, which takes place at Old Trafford this evening, but the Spaniard will undergo tests throughout the day to see if he can play.
If Moreno isn’t able to feature, Brad Smith is likely to take his place.
