Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld is set for a season long loan move to Southampton.
The defender will fly to England today and will hold talks before completing his move to St Mary’s before the 11pm deadline.
It appears that Southampton have beaten Newcastle and Sunderland to the signing, with the defender keen to move away from Spain this summer.
A loan deal is expected to be completed shortly.
