Shakhtar Donetsk striker set for Blues switch
Alex Teixeira has taken a step closer to joining Premier League outfit Chelsea after he ‘verbally agreed’ to join them in January.
The Brazilian forward has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge from Shakhtar Donetsk in recent weeks, and it’s now emerged that a £30million transfer fee has been agreed by both clubs.
As well as that, the player himself has also reached a verbal agreement with the Premier League club ahead of next month’s transfer window.
Deal Going Ahead
Despite the change of management recently, Chelsea still want to go ahead with the Teixeira deal and they are likely to wrap it up next month when the window officially opens.
Chelsea officials are currently out in Ukraine hoping to wrap up the deal, with the official transfer fee being discussed and also personal terms being ironed out with Teixeira and his representatives.
A five-year deal is believed to have been offered.
