Arsenal host Manchester City on Monday night

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez has a ‘slight chance’ of returning to the first-team for Monday night’s game against Manchester City.

It’s a crucial top-of-the-table clash which sees Manuel Pellegrini‘s men travel to the Emirates Stadium, with both teams looking to return to the top of the Premier League going into Christmas.

As it stands, Leicester City are on top, and it could stay that way if they get a result against Everton at Goodison Park, but all eyes will be on North London on Monday night to watch Arsenal take on City.

Slight Chance

Speaking ahead of the game in his weekly press conference, Wenger was asked about Alexis‘ chances of playing, and he confirmed that there is a slight chance as the Chilean has began to run again.

He said: “Everyone who played against Aston Villa is fit. There is one or two possible comebacks.

“Alexis Sanchez has a slight chance. He’s not in full training but is running.”

Alexis scored a wonder-goal in this fixture last year when the two sides drew 2-2.
