Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Andros Townsend and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole have both taken to Twitter to mock rivals Arsenal after they were thrashed 6-0 at the hands of Jose Mourinho’s side at Stamford Bridge today.

Arsene Wenger’s side were 2-0 down after just eight minutes, and once Kieran Gibbs was wrongly sent off, it was all-but game over and by full-time, it was six conceded, much like they did against Manchester City earlier in the season.

It was only six days ago when Wojciech Szczesny and co. were taking selfies of themselves on the White Hart Lane pitch after a 1-0 victory against Tottenham, and Townsend has made a tweet aimed at the Polish goalkeeper.

After the full-time whistle, the English midfielder tweeted: ‘Who thinks we’ll see another selfie from him after today’s game?’

Townsend was also joined by Ashley Cole, who tweeted the following during the game: ‘Enjoying the game’, which was also attached to a picture of him with his thumbs up.

It is a sore day all round for Arsenal Football Club, who were meant to be celebrating Arsene Wenger’s 1,000th game in charge.
