England and Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend is hopeful that he can continue his current form, but he insists that he has even thought about the World Cup next Summer.

The winger has burst onto the scene this year at White Hart Lane, mainly due to the departure of Gareth Bale, and his performances for his club earnt him an England call-up last month.

Ever since his debut for his country, he has been involved in every game and has impressed many with his pace and technical ability.

Despite losing their last two games to Chile and Germany, Townsend showed glimpses of what he is capable of and he is hoping his form can continue up until next Summer.

“I have had a good start to my international career, but I think it is too soon to start talking about Brazil,” Townsend told Sky Sports News.

“We have got six/seven months of club form now, I have got to keep playing well for my club for six months then hopefully I can secure my place on the plane.”
