Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United target Di Maria, has admitted he does not know what team he will be playing for next season – and does not want to think about it until after the World Cup
The 26-year-old Argentina star could be in the shop window at the tournament in Brazil, but he has told his agent he does not want to hear anything about any talks he may be having.
‘I don’t know what’s going to happen with my career,’ said the player who helped Madrid win their historic tenth European title at the end of last season.
‘I don’t want to know anything about my future right now – I’m focusing on my national team and not on what’s going on elsewhere.
‘My team-mates and I don’t read or listen to all the things being said in the media. We’re just thinking about ourselves and the unity of the group.’
All three potential English suitors would be able to find a place for him in their squad.
At Arsenal he would be competition for Lukas Podolski, whereas at United he could be a long-term replacement for Ryan Giggs, with Ashley Young having failed to establish himself in the role.
City could be an attractive destination because they already have three Argentinian players in their squad – Sergio Aguero, Pablo Zabaleta and Martin Demichelis – all of whom are playing alongside Di Maria at the World Cup.
