Manchester United potentially dealt serious injury blow
Manchester United have been dealt an injury blow after images showed Anthony Martial leaving Wembley on crutches following last night’s friendly with England.
The French international was substituted off in the second-half after picking up a knock, but later in the evening, he was seen leaving the stadium on crutches.
According to people who were outside the stadium when the players were leaving, Martial‘s ankle was heavily bandaged as he made his way to the team bus.
It’s not yet known what the problem with the striker is, but it could be a massive blow to Louis van Gaal and Manchester United.
Deschamps Comments on Injury
However, after the game, Didier Deschamps tried to play down the injury, stating it’s just a knock.
He said: “He was in quite a bit of pain after the match.
“He got a kick in the penalty area. I think it’s just a knock rather than anything else to the top of his foot.”
