Blues couldn’t kill the game off

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed what disappointed him in his team’s game vs Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Italian stated he was happy with the win and claiming the three points, but admitted he wanted his team to kill the game off.

Diego Costa fired home the only goal of the game 4 minutes before half time, and despite going close with several chances, the visitors couldn’t find a second goal.

And Conte admits that was the only downer on the day Chelsea went top of the Premier League table.

“When we create many chances to get the goal it’s important to score.

“Because you can arrive to the end without a fright.

“This is the sixth game in a row we didn’t concede a goal and this is good news for us.

“We played a good game with a good opposition and created many chances for the second goal.

“In a game like this it’s vital to kill it if you have the possibility to because a corner, a cross, anything can happen.

“But I’m pleased because Middlesbrough proved to be a good team.”
