The Blues boss has revealed Kurt Zouma could make his Chelsea return very soon.
But only if he gets through another match for the Blues Under-23s on Monday.
Zouma has been out for eight months after picking up an anterior cruciate ligament injury back in February in a game against Manchester United.
However, he did play for the Blues’ Under-23 side against Derby’s development squad on Monday.
This news comes on the heels of Conte also announcing a return for another Chelsea Star for the Southampton v Chelsea game.
Conte has revealed Zouma will be back with the first-team if he can get through another match with the Under-23s.
“Zouma played a game with the Under-23s and the physical answer was good,” Conte said.
“Now we prefer him to play another game on Monday and if it’s all okay he will come back to us.
“I am very happy because I can have another central defender and a good central defender, a young one with great potential.”
