Antonio Conte to develop youth at Chelsea

Italian’s priority has been revealed

Antonio Conte will make developing youth at Chelsea one of his main priorities, according to reports.

The Blues are well known for having a great youth system with great players on their books, but over the past few years they have failed to breakthrough due to Jose Mourinho‘s reluctance to give them opportunities.

Chelsea fans have been screaming to see some of their youths in the first-team, rather than see them go out on loan for several years before leaving permanently, and Conte is ready to give them that wish.

The Italian is likely to be named the new Chelsea manager by the end of the month, replacing Guus Hiddink at the end of the season and after the European Championships.

Youths Given A Chance

According to reports, Conte has told Roman Abramovich he wants to blood the youths into the first-team a lot more than what the club currently does, and he believes that will be key for their future.

Abramovich has agreed with the Italian and also wants to see more youth products in the first-team.

It’s believed Conte will give all youth players a chance to impress him during the first few weeks of his tenure.
