Italy manager wants Jose Mourinho’s job when done with national team

Antonio Conte is being lined up to replace Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, and according to reports, he’s willing to take on the job after next summer’s European Championships.

Conte is currently the manager of Italy, but he’s revealed his plans to leave the role after the Euros as he is desperate to return to club football.

Previously of Juventus, Conte has built up a good reputation across Europe and he is one name on Roman Abramovich‘s list should Mourinho lose his job.

Possible Replacements

Along with Carlo Ancelotti, Guud Hiddink and Roberto Mancini, Conte is being considered by Abramovich if he does choose to sack Mourinho following Chelsea‘s woeful start to the new campaign.

Six defeats in 11 league matches leaves the Blues 16th in the table and it’s reported that Mourinho has one week to save his job.

According to reports in Italy, Conte could take on the job at Stamford Bridge at the end of this season and after he’s guided Italy through the Euros.
