Arda Turan set for Liverpool move, Santi Cazorla targeted as replacement

Atletico Madrid are preparing to offload Turkish international Arda Turan, and are targeting Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla as a potential replacement.

Turan is the subject of interest from Liverpool, and the Spanish side seem prepared to do business.

A bid of £26.5m may be enough to tempt Turan, who is reportedly unhappy at the Vicente Calderon.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone is looking at Cazorla as his replacement, but a move may hinge on the role the Spaniard may play if he moves to La Liga.

Cazorla is believed to be wanting a move only if he is guaranteed the number ten role, directly behind the striker. This is the role Turan plays at Atletico.

Turan is also adept on either wing, and he is a long-term target of the Anfield club.

Also, Turan revealed that “I want to play in major leagues and my dream team is Liverpool.”
