Atletico Madrid star expects decision to be made in next few days
Arda Turan could find himself at a new club within a matter of four days according to his agent, after the midfielder expressed a desire to leave Atletico Madrid.
The midfielder played a pivotal role in helping Atletico to their La Liga title in 2014, scoring nine goals in all competitions. But, after four years at the Spanish outfit, the Turkish international has decided to bring his time at the club to a close.
Manchester United and Chelsea have both been linked to the signing of the 28 year-old, and his agent has said that he could join his new club very soon.
Turan’s Agent Speaks
His agent, Ahmed Bulut told NTVSpor: “Arda has won everything at Atletico Madrid in four years.
“We’re in search of better options for him and decided to definitely leave Atletico Madrid.
“The Atletico Madrid board were surprised by our decision because they didn’t want to give him up but we were insistent and they showed respect to this and accepted his departure.”
He then added: “There is a lot of speculation about him but none of the rumours are completely true,” Ahmet added. “We want to reveal his new team as soon as possible because there is so much pressure on us.
“Arda’s new team will be clear within four days.”
