Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben is considering options regarding his future with the Club before committing anything. His contract is set to expire this summer this summer and is not sure whether he will sign a new contract extension.
Since joining Bayern from Real Madrid in 2009, he has been a mainstay in the team. He has won 1 Champions League and 8 Bundesliga titles, 6 in a row in last 6 years with the German Giants. Latest being on Saturday, where they beat FC Augsburg 4-1 to secure their 28th title.
Speaking after title victory on Saturday, Robben says he is considering his options regarding his future
“In football, anything is possible,” the Dutchman told Kicker. “You have to deal with it soberly. I’m not someone who says ‘Bavaria is the first option.’
“Everyone plans for the future. This applies to Bayern, other clubs and me too, you have to plan and other clubs will contact me, of course, I have to worry.”
He confirmed that nothing has yet been decided – not even by his side. “If all options are on the table, then I can make my decision,” said the 34 year old.
“The only thing that is very important to me is this last month tuck.”
“It’s not always easy, of course,”
“You must try to enjoy it and keep your concentration.”
