Bale has been heavily linked with  a summer move

Gareth Bale after 5 seasons in Spain, has been heavily linked with a summer move away form Real Madrid. This season the Wales International forward has struggled with injuries led to making less impact of late than the Spanish giants were hoping for.

Bale has find himself mostly in the bench with Zinedine Zidane preferring Isco or Asensio ahead of him. He was benched again for the midweek Champions League clash with Juventus,

There have been highs, such as a La Liga title and three Champions League crowns but Bale believes that he is no longer guaranteed a starting place in the team and is also frustrated with the lack of regular football.

With reports claiming the 28 year wants to leave this summer, Zidane on the other hand is expecting that the forward will stay at the club next season.

Zidane maintains that the 28-year-old remains part of his plans past the end of the season, telling reporters: “My feeling is that Bale is going to stay at Real Madrid next season.

“He is not going to lose his motivation. He is an important player.

“It’s true that there are other players playing and they are doing very well.

“I would understand if he wasn’t feeling as motivated, because players want to play every game. But he has to keep working.”

With important upcoming fixtures against Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona, Bale might get chance to show his worth again.
