The Frenchman saw a proposed move to Liverpool earlier this summer shattered after failing a medical at Anfield, but Arsenal and Chelsea have also moved in for the 27-year-old with Jose Mourinho sanctioning a bid on Friday. However, with Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud out until the new year, manager Arsene Wenger has set his eyes on the talented forward as a temporary replacement for Remy’s French team-mate.

It has been reported that both London giants have agreed to pay the £8 million release clause in the player’s contract and it is now up to the 27-year-old to decide on where his future lies. A move to Arsenal will defintely offer Remy more first-team football, but Chelsea could put a higher wage package on the table.
