Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano has agreed personal terms with Serie A side to AC Milan, despite heavy interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Italian giants are to offer £5.5million as the transfer fee for the striker, with Shakhtar wanting to sell the forward this summer to avoid losing him on a free next summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old’s contract expires next summer and has refused a new and improved lucrative offer from the club but it is believed the forward wants to play for a ‘top European club’.
The former Internacional star was a big target for Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool this campaign, who have been keen admirers of the Brazilian for two seasons.
Shakhtar signed Adriano in 2007 for £2.1million, and are expected to accept Milan’s offer of £5.5million this summer.
