Arsenal have been cleared to sign Inter Milan midfielder, Mateo Kovacic, who is dubbed the new Cesc Fabregas.
The 20-year-old has been highly tipped as one of Europe’s best playmakers, with Real Madrid scouting him as well and due to financial powers elsewhere, Inter may be forced into selling him abroad.
Inter are aware of the growing interest in Kovacic and are resigned to losing him over the Summer.
According to reports, Everton made a £14.6million bid for the star last year, but Inter recjected the offer as they are hoping for closer to £17m.
Arsenal are now keen on striking a deal for the Croat and could make a move at the end of the season after he was dubbed the new Fabregas.
Kovacic has scored eight goals so far this season.
