Arsenal dealt major blow in their bid to sign forward

Arsenal have been dealt a major blow to their plans of poaching Borussia Dortmund winger Pierre Emrick-Aubameyang, with his current club’s director of football explaining why the deal is difficult to materialise.

“We’ve been saying for the start his transfer might take place just if our request is fulfilled. Arsenal submitted their bid, but it isn’t enough,” he said.

Speaking after the Bundesliga game between Freiburg and Dortmund, that ended in 2-2, Michael Zorc, the sporting director, added: “Arsenal have made several attempts so far [to sign Aubameyang] and they have all been rejected.

“Either our demands are fulfilled, then there can be another transfer, or they will not be fulfilled and Aubameyang will play in Dortmund until the summer”, he said.
