According to BBC, Arsenal have already ended their interest in Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, leaving Chelsea favourites to sign him.

Reports broke late last night that The Gunners were ready to hijack any potential deal taking the Frenchman to Stamford Bridge, but despite holding talks with QPR, Arsenal have now ended their interest in the 27-year-old.

BBC journalist, David Ornstein, earlier sent out a message on his official Twitter page that Arsenal were in talks with QPR regarding Remy, but since then, he has updated the situation by claiming Arsene Wenger has ended his interest.

He tweeted: ‘Arsenal have dropped Remy interest. Enquired but no longer pursuing. Currently not close to any signings before deadline.’

It’s believed Wenger does want to sign a striker and a holding-midfielder, but time is running out for the Frenchman, with the transfer deadline just a day away.
