The Gunners could make a £21million move for Julian Draxler, according to reports

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could move for the 21-year-old before the transfer window closes, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

Draxler is thought to be a long term target for Arsenal and is believed to be keen on making a move to the Premier League.

The Germany international could be allowed to leave Schalke for £17.5million, despite the Bundesliga club wanting at least £21million, according to Roger Wittmann, who represents Draxler.

“I think a deal could be concluded for €25m (£17.5m). His release clause (£31.5m) is no longer applicable after June 30.” Said Wittmann.

Draxler, has scored 17 goals in 116 games during his time in Germany, after progressing through the ranks, winning the DFB Cup and Super Cup during that time.
