Arsenal have finally succeeded in gaining a work permit for talented winger Wellington Silva.
The Gunners signed Silva from Fluminese in 2009 but have faced problems getting the player cleared to play for them, with Silva forced to go out on a number of loan deals while the saga rumbled on.
The highly rated youngster, who possesses great pace and impressive footwork, is now eligible to represent Arsenal after gaining Spanish citizenship.
“It’s true.” He told reporters. “I can now go back to Arsenal next season. I would love to become an idol at a club like Arsenal.”
“I will give my best to become a great player.”
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly a fan of the young star so it would seem he could well feature in the first team next year.
