Arsenal Football Club are confident that manager Arsene Wenger will put pen to paper on a new contract which will see him remain at the club for a further three years at least.

Wenger’s current deal expires in the Summer and over the past few years there has been a lot of speculation about whether he will stay on or leave the club after 17-years at the helm.

However, after a successful start to the 2013/2014 campaign, it is believed that the Frenchman is keen to stay on at the Emirates Stadium and will in fact sign a new deal at the club which will see him remain boss until 2016 at least.

When previous talks were held, Wenger openly admitted that he will not be discussing any contract information until his side reached the knockout stages of the Champions League, and now that has been achieved, the club’s officials are hopeful that they can get a deal done as soon as possible for the club’s longest serving manager.
