Arsenal are considering a Summer bid for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, as Arsene Wenger eyes a strong holding-midfielder.
The German international, who featured in last night’s Champions League final, has missed the majority of the season due to a ligament injury, and he only managed to play the last few league games and then the final, but Wenger is still keen on signing him to add strength to his midfield.
Currently, Arsenal only have Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini in that position, and with both coming to the end of their career’s, Wenger is keen to find a younger replacement with several players mentioned.
Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin has also been linked, but recent reports suggest Khedira could be an option as well.
The 27-year-old has previously been monitored by Chelsea as Jose Mourinho is keen to reunite after spending time with his during his Madrid days.
With only one year left on his contract, the German could cost Arsenal as little as £15million.
