Premier League giants Arsenal are keeping tabs on Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata as reports in Spain are suggesting that he could become available in January.

Arsene Wenger is desperate to land a striker to take the load off of Olivier Giroud, who is the only fit recognised striker at the club at the moment, with both Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski both currently injured.

However, Walcott has made a return to the first-team setup in recent matches, but Wenger is still on the look-out for a new striker and he could be persuaded by the Madrid youngster.

According to reports in Spain, Madrid may allow the forward to leave the club on loan in January in order to gain some first-team experience as the 21-year-old is struggling to break past Karim Benzema at Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti is keen on signing a new striker for the Spanish giants, and if he is able to do so in January, he is willing to allow Morata go out on loan.
