Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has revealed how midfielder Ryan Giggs stunned Bayer Leverkusen last night with his superb performance.
The Red Devils cruised to a 5-0 victory in Germany to book their spot in the Champions League knockout stages and it was mainly down to the display a 40-year-old put on.
Giggs, who actually celebrates his 40th birthday tomorrow, ran riot in Germany and after the game, Rooney admitted that the Leverkusen players had no clue he could still do that.
“I’ve run out of things to say about Ryan,” Rooney said.
“Actually, during the game, the Bayer centre-half was asking how he is still playing at that age.
“I certainly won’t be playing at that age, that’s for sure. His composure on the ball is great.”
