Arsene Wenger has been given a boost in his pursuit of Mario Balotelli, while the Frenchman is also interested in signing THREE other players for the Gunners. According to several reports, Wenger met up with the agent of Mario Balotelli, Mino Raiola, over the weekend in Rio De Janeiro, to discuss a potential deal.

The fee AC Milan want for the Italian is believed to be about ÂŁ30m. Arsenal were given a further boost when the Serie A side’s joint CEO, Barbara Berlusconi said:

“Balotelli is a great player. But nobody is irreplaceable. We will see what happens.”

Liverpool were another team interested in the striker, but the Gunners now have the edge over their rivals in the pursuit of his signature. Meanwhile, Wenger also has three other players who he wants to bring to the Emirates this summer. One is Serge Aurier and a deal could be one step closer with reports indicating that he would much rather move to North London over anywhere else.

Another player is Loic Remy and the Arsenal boss has been in touch with the forward’s former club Marseille to inquire about the player’s temperament. He could be available for ÂŁ10m due to a clause in his QPR contract.

Finally, Bryan Ruiz will be scouted by the Gunners when England face Costa Rica. He has impressed at the World Cup so far, despite not doing too well at Fulham. However, it hasn’t put off Arsene Wenger, who will make a ÂŁ7m bid if he impresses the scouts.
