Arsenal are planning to move for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak when the transfer window opens in January.
The 24 year old Polish midfielder, capped 12 times by his country, only moved to La Liga in the summer but has made such an impressive start to the season that a number of top European clubs are reportedly contemplating a bid.
Borussia Dortmund are interested as well but are not willing to go any higher than £18m, whereas Arsenal have made it clear they are willing to meet the buy out clause in the player’s contract.
Arsene Wenger is in the market for a combative midfielder, having recently admitted that his side appears to be lacking steel in the middle of the park to complement the club’s wealth of attacking players.
Sami Khedira had been linked strongly with a mid-season switch to North London, but he has today ruled out leaving Real Madrid in January.
